Real research runs on real people.
We just make sure you’re one of them.

While you take a study, Testable quietly confirms a genuine person is behind the answers. It protects the quality of the research and keeps paid opportunities flowing to real participants like you.

What actually happens

We confirm you’re human

Automated “participants” and answer-bots would ruin studies and drain the pay meant for people. Our authenticity checks keep them out so your work counts.

We look at how, not what

We consider how you interact with the page and your device and connection — not the meaning of your answers, not your other tabs, and never your screen.

It stays out of your way

There’s nothing extra to do. Almost everyone is confirmed instantly and never notices the checks are there at all.

Your session earns an Authenticity Score

It’s a simple 0–100 read on how confident we are that a real person is present. Most sessions land comfortably in the green. If something looks unusual, a person — not just software — reviews it before any decision is made, and you can always ask us to take another look.

Green: confirmed human — where almost every session lands. Amber and pink: a human takes a look before anything happens.

What we never do

  • Sell your data or use it for advertising.
  • Read your passwords, files, or other browser tabs.
  • Record your screen or watch your camera without a clearly-labelled, opt-in study.
  • Let an automated score be the final word on excluding you.

Your rights

  • Ask a human to review any decision about your session.
  • Contest an exclusion and have it re-checked.
  • See what integrity data we hold about you, and request its deletion.
  • Know it’s kept for 90 days, then automatically removed.

Using assistive technology?

Screen readers, keyboard-only navigation and other assistive tools are welcome and are accounted for — they won’t count against you. If you ever feel you were wrongly flagged, tell us and a person will look at it.

Questions about a session, a score, or your data? Real people read both inboxes.
